Upward Growth to God in obedience, prayer and worship
Word-centered - We will be a people growing to be ever more Word-centered. Jesus Christ reigns
over His church through His Word, so we will be intentional in keeping the Word central to all
ministry and teaching. As we do, we expect to see lives transformed by studying and obeying
God’s written Word.
Prayer - We will be a people of prayer. Prayer will be prominent and integral to all we do. We
will be purposeful in modeling and teaching our people why and how to pray. We will
demonstrate dependence upon God to empower His church for His work in and through His
people.
Worship - We will be a people that worship God reverently in spirit and in truth. Fundamentally,
we will embrace worship as a pattern of life for every believer, living in continual obedience to
Jesus Christ. Our corporate worship will be God-centered, Jesus Christ-focused and Spirit-filled.
Inward Growth to God in our discipleship, service and leadership
Community – We will live in real community – be a place where people readily connect and
develop meaningful Christian relationships with other believers, serve one another, grow as
disciples and function with unity. We will welcome growing numbers of brothers and sisters to
worship and serve with us.
Biblical Leadership – We will develop people, multiplying the ministers in every area of
ministry. This will include leadership development, bolstering spiritual maturity, entrusting
responsibility to ministry teams, and supporting the marriages and families of all who serve.
Outward Growth to the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Local – We will be committed to local outreach – both mono-culturally and cross-culturally. In
the Twin Cities, we will grow our outreach to neighbors from our culture and to internationals
God has brought to our doorstep.
Global – We will be committed to global outreach – participating in world evangelism in various
capacities, with a special focus on mobilizing our congregation to carry the gospel to unreached
people groups.
